If you wish to live in Belgium for more than 90 days to work there, your employer must apply for a single permit (work permit + residence permit) at the Region (BrusselsWalloniaFlanders).

*For information on the list of Embassy-designated hospitals and Police clearance certificate, please refer to the Student Visa page, no.8 and no.9.

The examination of this double request is carried out simultaneously by the Region and the Immigration Office for the matters for which they are competent.

Once the single permit has been approved, you will be informed by the relevant authorities.

If you have previously provided an address in Belgium as your official address, you can directly go to the municipality of your residence with the authorization notice to regularize your situation. However, if you entered an address in Korea as your official address, you must apply for a visa at the embassy.

When to submit a visa application?

A visa application can be submitted up to 6 months before departure, and must be submitted at least 15 calendar days before the intended visit.

For example, for a visit to Belgium from 1 September 2020 onwards, the application can be submitted between 1 March 2020 and 17 August 2020.

The duration of treatment of your visa will not take more than one week.
