Korean Programs of Interest for Belgians

Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs
- Revisit Korea Program: a Korean War veteran or one family representative of a deceased Korean War Veteran can visit with fully covered airfare, and one accompanying family member can visit with partially covered airfare (50%). All meals and accomodations are covered during their stay.

- Youth Peace Camp (for Korean War veterans’ Descendants): One week program in Korea with accommodation and local expenses fully covered (excluding airfare).

- Scholarship program: Tuition for Korean language study (1 year), tuition exemption for a degree program (2 to 4 years) and financial support for dormitory expenses for descendants of Korean war veterans studying in Korea.

- UN Sending States Global academy: Initiative supporting educational exchange between Korean schools and those in UN Sending States.

ASEM-DUO Scholarship
The ASEM-DUO mobility grant supports academic and scientific exchanges in pairs (a student/professor from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and a partner from Asia-Pacific) for 4-month projects, with standardized funding.

Scholarships from Sungkyunkwan University
For the Fall 2026 intake, Sungkyunkwan University is offering a 50% tuition scholarship for the full duration of their degree to 2 students from Belgium.
To benefit from this scholarship, a letter of recommendation from the Embassy of Belgium is Seoul must be submitted. Please contact us if you are interested.
