Embassy in Seoul

Dear friends of Belgium in Korea,
Beste landgenoten,
Chères et chers compatriotes,

On 30 August, I arrived in Seoul and took up my new position as ambassador of Belgium in the Republic of Korea. I am both honored and delighted to assume this duty, especially since our two countries share historical and deep bilateral relations. Allow me to say that it is with strong dedication and full commitment that I will endeavor to further strengthen these already robust ties.

Belgium and Korea share indeed a common vision for addressing global challenges including peace and security, climate change and sustainable development, to name a few. The embassy’s team and I, together with our colleagues from the Regions, look forward to working with you and all Korean interlocutors to explore new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, research and innovation, academic and people-to-people exchanges, and certainly more.

Be also assured that I would feel privileged to meet with you and learn from the vibrant Belgian-Korean community which you all embody !
